Signal Desk — by incelliq

Your field publishes daily. Your team reads one brief.

Signal Desk tracks the papers, preprints, clinical trials, and patents in your exact research area — screened by AI systems built for evidence work, reviewed by a scientist, and delivered as a structured weekly brief your team actually reads.

Over four million research papers are published a year, and the preprints, trial registrations, and patents that move a field never arrive through one channel. The cost isn't reading time — it's the result you find out about three months late.

How it works

  1. Define your signalTargets, modalities, indications, competitors — we turn your research questions into a monitoring scope in a 30-minute call.
  2. We monitor continuouslyPubMed, bioRxiv and medRxiv, ClinicalTrials.gov and the EU CTR, patent filings, and major conference abstracts — screened by AI systems built for evidence work, reviewed by a scientist.
  3. You read one briefA structured weekly brief: what's new, why it matters for your program, and what to ignore. Time-critical items — safety signals, competitor readouts — are flagged the same day.

Who it serves

  • Biotech & pharma R&DStay ahead of the literature around your targets and modalities without burning scientist hours on search.
  • Medical affairsCongress coverage, new evidence, and label-relevant publications — summarized for field teams and advisory prep.
  • Competitive intelligenceCompetitor publications, trial registrations, and patent activity tracked together, not in three separate tools.
  • Life-science investorsDiligence-grade monitoring of portfolio and watchlist areas — readouts, preprints, and field-moving papers.

Why Incelliq

Incelliq builds intelligent systems for knowledge-heavy work, and literature surveillance is that work in its purest form: incomplete information, high volume, and decisions that depend on judgment about relevance.

Our design principle is simple — innovative and humane: the pipeline is AI-native, the accountability is human, and a scientist signs off on every brief before it ships. Your team's attention is treated as the scarce resource it is. We code your comfort.

Questions

What is Signal Desk?
Signal Desk is a literature-monitoring service for life-science teams, built by Incelliq. It continuously tracks papers, preprints, clinical-trial activity, patents, and conference abstracts in a defined research area and delivers a structured weekly brief covering what is new and why it matters — so scientists spend their time on the science, not the search.
How is this different from PubMed or Google Scholar alerts?
Keyword alerts forward everything that matches and miss everything that doesn't. Signal Desk monitors multiple source types together — journals, preprints, trial registries, patents — then deduplicates, ranks by relevance to your specific program, and synthesizes the result into one brief. You get judgment, not a firehose.
What sources does Signal Desk cover?
Coverage includes PubMed/MEDLINE, bioRxiv and medRxiv, ClinicalTrials.gov and the EU Clinical Trials Register, patent filings, and abstracts from major conferences in your field. Additional sources — regulatory documents, specific journals, company communications — can be added on Desk and Embedded plans.
Is the screening done by AI or by people?
Both, deliberately. Retrieval, deduplication, and first-pass relevance ranking are done by AI systems Incelliq builds for evidence-heavy work. Every brief is then reviewed and edited by a scientist before it ships. Nothing reaches your inbox that a human hasn't judged worth your time.
How much does Signal Desk cost?
Plans start at $290 per month for one monitored topic with a weekly brief. The Desk plan, at $590 per month, covers three topics and adds monthly synthesis reports and analyst Q&A. Embedded, at $1,490 per month, supports up to ten topics with custom taxonomy and landscape reports. All plans are monthly with no lock-in.
How quickly will we hear about something important?
Briefs ship weekly on a fixed day. Items that can't wait — safety signals, competitor trial readouts, field-moving preprints — are flagged to you the same day they are found, on every plan.
Is our topic list confidential?
Yes. What a company monitors reveals its strategy, so monitoring scopes are treated as confidential by default and we are happy to work under NDA. Your scope is never used for any other client or purpose.
Can we cancel anytime?
Yes. All plans are monthly and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the billing period. There are no setup fees and no cancellation fees. Most teams start with a free sample brief on their own topic before subscribing.

Send us one topic. We'll send back the brief your team should have had last week.
